Refund policy

At Book Marked, we want you to enjoy your mystery book bundle. Because our products are curated and often include surprise items, we offer returns and refunds in line with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).

This policy explains when you may be entitled to a return, replacement, or refund.

1. Change of Mind

Because our bundles are mystery/curated products, we do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds for change of mind or if you simply don’t like the items selected.

2. Faulty or Damaged Items

If any item in your bundle is faulty, damaged, or not of acceptable quality, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under the CGA.

Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos of the fault/damage

We’ll resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

3. Incorrect Items

If you receive the wrong product or your order is incomplete due to our error, we will send the correct item(s) or provide a suitable remedy.

4. Shipping Costs

  • If the issue is due to our mistake or a faulty product, we will cover any return shipping costs where required.
  • If a return is approved for another reason, shipping costs may be your responsibility.

5. Lost Parcels

If your parcel does not arrive, please contact us.
We will work with the courier to investigate. Once the courier confirms the parcel is lost, we will replace your order or issue a refund.

6. Order Cancellations

Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been packed or shipped.
If you need an urgent cancellation, contact us as soon as possible — if your order hasn’t been prepared yet, we can refund it.
